With the music video for his latest single “Bun It Down” now complete, Cincinnati based reggae recording artist Junya Be is gearing up to launch the project which was produced by Floyd “John GQ” Barrett of Fams House Music.
The video which was shot in the US represents Junya’s most commendable effect since the start of the year and is expected to bread new ground for the singer / songwriter who to date has toured with the likes of G Whizz, Turbulence and Khago. “Bun It Down” is a song about marijuana and its something i am very outspoken about, the video will be premiered in Jamaica first after which we will be taking it to the world over different platforms” he stated.
A lover of music from ever since, Junya Be got his big break back in the late 90’s while still a teenage. “I remember i grabbed the microphone and took the stage thanks to some promoters who decided to give me a shot, they eventually gave me the stage name Junya Be”.
Years after, with his skills much sharper, Junya Be steadily began to make a name for himself as a crowd pleaser, fusing his love for reggae with other genre’s such as Hip Hop, R& B and even Rock. “I have so many different styles, i sing, i chant and i also rap. Currently im working with decorated Grammy Award Winning producer / engineer Gary “Shanguly” Samuels who is know for his work with Beenie Man, Sean Paul Lady Saw and even Chronixx. This all thanks to a link set by John GQ who has been guiding me musically since we met”.
In other news Junya Be will also be dropping a hot collab before the end of the year. The track which is still untitled will feature the “Life Soon Sort Out” singer “G Whizz”.
